Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how OLED Control ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you access our websites, apps, software, and related services (the "Services"). Your use of the Services also remains subject to our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

• Account & Contact Data: email address and any information you choose to submit (e.g., support messages or feedback).
• Usage Data: pages viewed, interactions, device/browser info, language, approximate location (from IP), timestamps, and referral data.
• Crash & Diagnostic Data: error reports, performance metrics, session replay (if enabled) via Sentry or similar providers, subject to your environment settings.
• Session Replays: recordings of how you move through selected app screens and website pages. See "Session Replay" below for what is recorded and what is hidden.
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: we use cookies/local storage for core functionality and may use analytics cookies where permitted by law or with your consent.
• TV & Local Network Data: the app may store TV connection details, pairing credentials, and saved picture profiles on your device. TV commands are sent directly over your local network.
• Purchase Data: purchase and subscription status, product identifiers, and related account identifiers needed to provide or restore Premium access.

How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
• Communicate with you (e.g., updates, security notices).
• Measure performance and understand usage.
• Maintain safety, security, and integrity of the Services.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce policies.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data based on: (a) contract (to provide the Services), (b) legitimate interests (e.g., product improvement, security), (c) consent (e.g., certain analytics/marketing), and (d) legal obligations.

Sharing & Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery). We require appropriate safeguards and process data under instructions consistent with this Policy.

• Analytics: Mixpanel receives product usage events from the iOS and Android apps (for example onboarding steps, paywall views, and purchases, with app version, OS version, and locale region) and session replays (see below). On the website, Mixpanel and Google Analytics run only after you accept analytics cookies. Vercel Analytics counts website page views without cookies.
• Accounts & Backend: Supabase provides account authentication and stores the service data needed to operate your account.
• Purchases: Apple (App Store) and Google Play process in-app payments, Stripe processes payments made on the website, and RevenueCat helps us confirm purchase status and Premium access. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• Error Monitoring: Sentry may capture errors, performance, and optional session replay depending on environment configuration.
• App Feedback: messages you send with the in-app feedback form are stored in Supabase and sent to PostHog (PostHog Inc., hosted in the United States), so we can read, sort, and reply to them. PostHog receives the message, your contact email if you give one, the feedback category, the app version, platform, and build type, the TV model and firmware, and the setting the feedback is about. PostHog does not build a profile of you. App logs you attach stay in Supabase.
• Hosting & Infrastructure: Vercel hosts the website and processes basic operational data needed to deliver it.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing without your consent.

Session Replay

We use Mixpanel Session Replay to see where people get stuck and to improve these screens.

• iOS and Android apps: recording runs only while onboarding, the paywall (with its exit offer and purchase confirmation), or the lifetime offer on the home screen is open. A replay shows these screens as you saw them, including your TV names, TV network (IP) addresses, and your account email if shown. Text you type into input fields is hidden. TV controls, settings, and the rest of the app are never recorded. The Mac app does not record.
• Website: recording runs only after you accept analytics cookies. All page text and form inputs are hidden, and images and videos are blocked. Account, sign-in, and checkout pages are not recorded.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and context.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You also may have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

International Transfers

If we transfer personal data internationally, we will rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) and implement measures designed to protect your information consistent with applicable law.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least sixteen (16) years old or the digital age of consent in their region (13–16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under thirteen (13). If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, please submit a request via the form above or email us so we can delete it. Users under the applicable age of consent should only use the Services with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., by updating the date above or sending an email). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
